Sugary Sunshine

There are puppies, there are kittens, there are rainbows and there are Sorana Banana and Caro Wozniacki. I believe if all of these things were put in a big fluffy pink basket, the world would IMPLODE from all the cuteness.

Caro and Sorana have been a part of Team Adidas for quite some time now. The head coach, lucky bastard, Sven Groeveneld, posted that adorable picture above on his blog. Considering the fact I don’t speak Dutch (I know, surprising), I’ll do my best with my kind friend translating Google Translate mindfucks for me.

The team, being as close as ever,  gave each others nicknames. Caro is Sunshine, due her constant happiness and smile plastered on her face. Sorana is Sugar, because she’s so sweet. Sven is Seven… because… I don’t know, they thought it was funny?

The cuteness fact multiplies when you find out it was actually Sorana’s initiative to put the nicknames on their shirts. And the poor cute thing couldn’t even get the quotation marks right. Awn, bless her.

    Actually I’m Dutch so I’ll help you out ;) Sven is Seven because of his name, Sven is hard to pronounce for a lot of people. If you want to know more from te article, let me know.

    There were a few things I liked:
    First, Sven got to coach Sorana during her match against Radwanska, she was 4-5 behind in the 3rd set. Radwanska was serving for the match, but after Sven was there Sorana won 3 games and the match. To thank him she made an starbucks trophy which she called the 4-5 trophy.
    Mats and Sven took Ana and Sorana to something I don’t know the English name of ;) it has rollercoasters! Ana loved the rollercoasters so she went with Mats. Sven and Sorana stayed on the ground. But after two hours Mats was sick so Ana went with Sorana and she really loved it.
    They are training with Caroline to get more spin in her forehand.
    Melle van Gemerden (also dutch) will be the coach of Sorana within Adidas PDP.
