Let me take a second as a Radwanska fan to mourn this loss. I only watched the second set (and I started at 1-3) and, from what I saw, bb Aga was being completely controlled. Kuz was moving her very well and was hardly giving her opportunity for these amazing counter punching attacks. She ended up taking the match and title with an easy 6-2 6-4 score. Congratulations, Sveta.
Now, let’s talk about what you all come here for. Sveta’s gang signs.
Just… what? Has she joined the Russian mafia or something? Is that an “M” for Moscow? Isn’t she from St. Petersburg? I’m properly confused.
The first one is, apparently, Aga pretending to hit Sveta with the stuffed tennis ball. I missed that during the ceremony. Woes.

Sveta lost a close friend two days before the final match – look at mourning signal in her shirt. Maybe this hand’s signal is a tribute to him.
Answer: I have tried and failed several times to keep blogs up. Why? Because I don’t like doing serious journalism unless there’s money showing up in my bank account — and there wasn’t. This blog will have no interest in being impartial or, you know, actually talking about the sport (ok, maybe from time to time). There are tons of other blogs (and news websites) that do this job pretty well already. Here we will discuss the shallow part: the outfits, the gossip, the outrages and who Fernando Verdasco is currently dating.
