My first full thought when looking at this picture was “OH LOL for a second there I thought that dude in white was Yanina Wickmayer“. And then I looked at the subtitle. It was her. Oh, Wicky, never change, okay?

And via Mind The Racket, another video of the two most unintentionally hilarious doubles players (Elena Vesnina does not count): Sam Stosur and Rennae Stubbs. Playing ping pong.

I think I could actually beat them. WIN.

Fierce Fashin

Continuing the discussion on the outfits of the USO that are worth mentioning, I’ll start with my favourite one: Sharapova‘s.

For those that don’t know me, I love to hate Sharapova. She’s my personal punching bag I use to mock: awkward running, lolzy net skills, doubtful fashion taste, doubtful sexual orientation. It’s all good hearted and, well, fun. So for her to win the “Best Outfit of the US Open Award”, it’s a great achievement. Gurl probably knows winning Wimbledon at 17 is nothing comparing to my fashion approval. Let’s see the outfit then, yeah?

First, the chavvy part in me thinks this would look even more badass if it was in black+gold. But as pointed out by loltennis, I’m sure Nike has rules where it states that only The Monogram can wear gold. I feel your pain, Masha. But still, the silver headband is GAWJUZ. It’s a nice improvement to see her wearing a tight dress — let’s not forget her last outfit was the spiderwoman‘s and it made her hips look huge. You know it’s a NIKE FASHION FAIL when you’ve made a 6’2″ skinny woman look fat. Part of me is interested to see how the day dress looks… the other part just wants her to lose in the next round so she doesn’t play Lena. Oh, mixed feelings, how I love thee.

From yesterday’s biggest upset, Ana Ivanovic‘s pretty purple dress:

As much as I was loudly cheering for the Baby Bondarenko, shame we won’t get to see the day version of the ensemble. It was pretty.

And the most expected fashion happening in tennis this year (for me), Caro Wozniacki in Stella McCartney.

One word: disappointment. It just looks like a less colourful, less detailed version of number two here with some extra ruffs. I think it’s time for Adidas to start considering some other designers for their high fashion collection. If you guys could pick, who would it be? I’d want Karl Lagerfeld.

Because I do believe by now, we should all be used from this sort of FAIL coming from Elena Dementieva. We should but, alas, we’re not. We, Lena fans, are too blind by the love to even hate her or even simply be mad at her. We’re hopeless fanatics. We just feel sad and hope the next time, she’ll able to COVERT THE FREAKIN’ MATCH POINTS. *sigh* I might need tennis rehab.

The way I choose to deal with it? Cute pics of the players being adorbs.

Remember the photoshoot from the French FHM with Alona Bondarenko, Dominika Cibulkova, Victoria Azarenka and Anna Chakvetadze? The one where this pic of Vika came from? Sure you do, I even own that magazine. Now we have new ones that were published at, what I believe is, the British FHM here.

I’ve heard some say the pictures look trashy. But, honestly, it’s a photoshoot for effin’ FHM, I’m just glad the players didn’t have to pose with melting ice creams between their legs. I think they all look good, except Chaky. I’m still bothered by her trying to be “sexy”. The bangs and braid make her look like she’s twelve. The fact she acts like this doesn’t help either. Wrong wrong wrong.

Aahhhhh, to sleep.

Wimbledon is over. I’m on vacations. Oh yes, bbs, free time!

So what you guys might be interested in : I’m finally going through my RG pics and uploading them. Yes, months later, I realize that. Which is actually pretty fun (driving me a bit crazy, but just a bit).

Ok, so the match wasn’t that all exciting. I left home when it was 6-0 2-0 for Caro — obviously proving my jinxing abilities. Kiri put up a fight in the second, broke Caro’s serve back but eventually lost 6-4. I believe that was the first time I’ve seen Caro overpower anyone. Danish Cutie looked like she was in kill mode today. I thought it was lovely. I want Kiri to pick her game up (and her Stella McCartney sponsorship) because when she’s on, she’s a pleasure to watch. Moves well, nice groundstrokes and volleys. Let’s just be glad they played on Centre Court and that means a big number of pics of these two.

Now, tomorrow’s OOP. I can’t help but LOL at the fact Lena is at Court 1 and Serena, two times champion, is at Court 2, a smaller court. And Lena is playing Kulikova, a player outside the top 100, while Serena plays Vinci. No, seriously, EHL-O-fucking-EHL. I give up on trying to understand how the organizers decide the OOP. I’m starting to believe it is to please me, so I’ll most likely not complain. Hellz yeah, moar Russians and pretty Spaniards at showcourts pls.

Vika, please, PLEASE, be nicer to Sori than Caro was to Kiri? (That’s a weird sentence with lots of ridiculous sounding nicknames.)

Still on Vika, here you can see the videos from the French FHM photoshoot with her, Domi, Alona and Chaky. These screencaps of Vika and Chaky had me laughing for all eternity. I’m pretty sure Chaky “being hot” is one of the most awkward things on Earth. She’s a lovely good-looking girl but my mind just goes “Chaky, bb, please put your clothes on, you’re not old enough for that!”. Ignore the fact Vika is three years younger than her, Chaky is forever 12 for me. I love how Lena makes a “special appareance” on the video and that me and Domi have the same sweater. I even wore it today. Zomg, ~*~fate~*~.
