Let’s discuss rockstars
December 22nd, 2009 • caro the danish cutie, david ferrer, spice girls, tommy robredo, vika azarenka
(or my WTA babies)
Yesterday, we had an exhibition in Kiev, Ukraine with quite a few stars: Victoria Azarenka, Caroline Wozniacki, Anna Kournikova, David Ferrer and Tommy Robredo. This exhibition was also a valid opportunity for me to go “HEEEE VIKA AND CARO ILU BABIES GO CONQUER THE TOUR” except more calmly. A lot more calmly, I promise.
They played a set, in which Caro won 7-5. I’m sure Caro pushed the balls and Vika hit them as hard as she could.
They made out after the match because Vika found out she was going get some shiny present for Christmas. Not a puppy though. Maybe an engagement ring?
After the singles match, Vika parterned up with Tommy to play against fucking rockstar, Anna Kournikova and David Ferrer.
Vika/Tommy defeated Anna K./Ferru 6-3. Anna K. wasn’t as amused as Vika by the outcome.
BONUS: Victoria Azarenka thinks ridiculous hats are fashionable. Bless that lil’ chavtastic Belarussian.
Happy Sunday

Today, with a perfect 5-0, Spain lifted La Ensaladera for the second time in a row. Happy times ensued.

Smile harder, Rafa.

To people that don’t speak Spanish, “Bon Nadal” means “Merry Christmas” and, well, “Good Rafa”. Finally, it’s explained why I love Christmas so much. BON NADAL TO EVERYONE. MAY EVERYONE HAVE A FINE NADAL.
And a small picspam because, being a Rafa fan, I hadn’t seen my boy bite a trophy for quite some time now. It pleases me muchly — even though I’m not Spanish and my own NT isn’t even able to qualify for World Group playing Ecuador at home and such. But let’s not talk about that.

Below is part one of the video of the ceremony. Part two is here.
After pretty in pink, Rafa is now beautiful in blue

So we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the see-through sleeveless shirt before Rafa and Old Dude lost. That’s true. But hey, at least we have another gorgeous polo from Rafa. Good enough for me.
Rafa plays fellow Spaniard Ferrer tonight at 7pm Montréal time. Last time he played a professional singles match was in Roland Garros. So, let’s hear all the Rafa fans excited! Who cares if he’ll most likely lose, at least the boy is back (click for LAWLZ).
In case someone wants extra eyecandy, check out the pics of him practicing in Montréal + his first doubles match over at NadalNews. And in case you also want to laugh at with Rafa, check out the making of pics from his new commercial. If I hadn’t already wanted to visit Ibiza and the other islands, we could say that would seal the deal. Oh, the lolz.
ETA: There are hi-res pictures at iheartrafa here. Honestly, it’s even funnier when bigger.
SHOUT OUT: Ever wondered if there was a Fierce Tennis look alike for all the players I dislike? The answer is yes! My friend made a blog. You can check out posts on Sodermort, Federer and the whole shebang at Your Volleys Suck now. With gifs and loltastic pictures.
Pretty boys and girls

I do believe tennis is one of the few sports where me and women are equally sexualized. Which is sort of all different kids of awesome, you’re not going to find me complaining on this.
Feliciano Lopez, Fernando Verdasco, David Ferrer, Tommy Robredo and Nicolas Amagro posed for the Spanish ELLE magazine in Miami. So if you want to see pictures of hot shirtless Spanish men, click here. (And I know you all will, because ¡Hola! Nando and Feli)
And still on the awesomeness of Spanish magazines, Ana Ivanovic did a photoshoot for Vanity Fair Spain.
I think this is one of the best photoshoots with Ana I’ve seen. Specially if you remember the calendar. That was trashy… at the very least. So kuddos to Ana. You can see the rest of the pictures here, she looks beautiful in all of them.

Answer: I have tried and failed several times to keep blogs up. Why? Because I don’t like doing serious journalism unless there’s money showing up in my bank account — and there wasn’t. This blog will have no interest in being impartial or, you know, actually talking about the sport (ok, maybe from time to time). There are tons of other blogs (and news websites) that do this job pretty well already. Here we will discuss the shallow part: the outfits, the gossip, the outrages and who Fernando Verdasco is currently dating.
