First, I must apologize for leaving this bubblegum-coloured blog to the flies. You see, my university is back and I have to be up at unholy hours and, as it turns out, I don’t like mocking professional tennis players when I look like a zombie. What I’m doing instead is adding a FML to every sentence that comes out of my mouth. Dramatic, me? No way.

Moving on to the video that put a smile on my face today:

Top ten players Flavia Pennetta and Caroline Wozniacki reimagined the Yale Dome as a giant tennis court. Which both girls apparenly saw as an opportunity to moonball.  Amusing tennis players are amusing.

I just have one question, when Caro said “You hit this ball, I take you out for dinner?”, can everyone try out for that or just Flavia?

Just wondering.

I was all ready to come here and post about today’s finals — I even had the pic ready. I watched both Delpo’s and Flavia’s, so I was prepared to make some insightful comment about the tennis and how it was hilarious to see Delpo going all “wheee” to Roddick’s face. I mean, it’s not the dude’s fault. Roddick challenged the championship point winner and went to the net. When the call remained, they were facing each other. Delpo celebrated. It made me laugh. I was also going to talk about how Sam is an idiot, really. But I’ll skip that and congratulate Flavia. But before I came here to post, I took a quick look at my feeds and realized that there are other absurd, ridiculous stuff happening on the sport that are more worth mentioning than those stuff.

Such as, when Tennis Forum comes up with cracktastic threads like Lesbians Are The Biggest Chokers On Tour. LOL wut. Examples? Momo, Kuz, Sharapova. Since we’re at it, didn’t Sam lose a match against Serena this year in Australia having match points? Or was it last year? Whatever, it happened. And does this means maybe Kiri is a lesbian? Or Lena? I don’t think that theory makes sense.

And onto more stuff that makes me “LOLWUT”, why oh why is Rafa playing doubles in Montréal with his 40-year-old coach? Am I the only one that finds that disrespectful to the tournament and to the other players? I love the boy to death but this might be taking the whole “tournament as practice” a little too far. There were probably other players, maybe even doubles specialists, that wanted in. But again, the organizers probably don’t care. They just want to sell tickets… even if it’s tickets for a fancy practice session.

Two gays make a straight

I’m pretty sure there will never be a sports fandom as entertaining as tennis. Football is a close second, with the boys constantly getting arrested and with all the famous WAGs like the fabulous Cheryl Cole and the skinny bitch Victoria Beckham. But tennis? On tennis we have the boys dating the lesbian icons and that’s enough to have me lol-ing for all eternity. It all started with Haas dating Sara Foster — and me going “TOMMY IS DATING AMY! FROM D.E.B.S.! AMY!! OH LOLOLOL”. After that, we had Feli awkwardly posing with model-turned-actress Laura Sánchez.

Sánchez, when not posing with hot tennis players, plays a cop that likes to make out with redheaded girls in v. appropriate places such as labs and parking lots in the Spanish TV show Los Hombres de Paco.

Now, to leave me amused FOR-EVER, Carlos Moya is dating Carolina Cerezuela.

Okay, so, technically he’s been dating her for a while but I hadn’t recognized her. When I saw Carlos at the Madrid Open with her, my thoughts were “Why is his hair like that? I don’t like it. What a manwhore he is, cheated on Flavia. Who’s that girl though? I’ve seen her somewhere” and such. I wasn’t really focused on finding out who his girlfriend was. So when my friend pointed out on her twitter that Carlos was dating an actress from Hospital Central, everything clicked. And by clicked, I mean I reacted like “OMG IT’S VERO, CARLOS IS DATING VERO. VERO OMG. GAY VERO FROM HOSPITAL CENTRAL! VERO!”*

So, anyway, given that most people here are familiar with Carlos Moya, I’ll post this video of his girlfriend so you can all find it amusing he’s dating VERO FROM HOSPITAL CENTRAL (capslock needed):

Gise’s pic is actually not from today because I couldn’t find a decent one where you could see the Lacoste logo. Only 45588941 different images from Sharapova. Who needs unbiased Journalism, eh? Lena V./Vika picture I believe was posted here. If not… HOW CUTE ARE THEY? Answer: Very. Lena V.’s RG doubles outfit was lovely. Black tight dress and that bicolour headband. I approve it, she looked gorgeous (as usual). Now, it looks like Pavs’ headband is from the Men’s collection. I still like it though. I believe it would have been slightly more girlier if the Adidas logo was to the side, but oh well. I don’t know if you can see in the tiny picture, but if not, click here, HER NAIL POLISH MATCHES HER SHIRT.  Ignore the fact Pavs lost today to Vinci, she’s such a frakkin’ baby rockstar.

The same headband worn by Lena V. in doubles at RG was worn by Gise in Stuttgart. In this picture, you can see it more clearly. I want it. It matches my red (or should I say “terre batue”?) RG wristband. Special appearance by: Flavia Pennetta (headband-less).

Here we learn with Severine Bremond the different ways to wear a handband and look stylish. First picture is at RG, she wore it on top of her head (à la Serena/Blair Waldorf). At Wimbledon, the “regular” way. And at last year’s US Open she wore a ridiculously pretty blue-and-white one. God bless Lacoste.

First Roland Garros post

Well, I actually arrived at Rio on Tuesday but believe it or not, there are moments in my life I have to focus on university and such. I know, unbelievable. I haven’t had time to post anywhere but Twitter (mainly because it’s an addict) so I’m apologizing in advance. As a bitter Rafa fan, instead of watching the semifinals at this very moment, I’ll post here and then bury myself in my new Skins DVDs. You need to have priorities in life.

Why will I start the RG talk on a random first round doubles match when even the Women’s Finals are already decided? Because a) they’re pretty as fuck, b) Kiri doubles is the way I chose to heal from the fact she lost to a girl who probably hasn’t even reach puberty yet and c) I already uploaded those pics on my Flickr account.

And something very important needs to be mentioned: Kuddos to Sorana Cirstea. You know you’re adorable when you catch my attention when Kiri and Caro are right in front of me. Congrats, Sorana Banana. Her English has one of the most adorable accents I’ve ever heard and, dude, I fancy accents, I know about them. Every time she said “You go!”, ” I got!” and “Wait!” I’d awwwn out loud. Specially because she said everything twice so it was “You go you go!” and “Wait wait!”.

This begs for a poll of adorableness:[polldaddy poll=1680519]+ Kiri interview & Sori interview.

Sorana also said the cuuuteeeest “thank you” with a little shy smile when I wished her good luck in singles. My good luck wish was totally working… until I left the country and she lost to Sam Stosur. I’m truly sorry about my jinxing, folks. I really RUINED the tournament. Even a friend of mine said she’ll start calling me “Jinxy” from now on. Frakkin’ ho. I’ll go to the USO next year and jinx Federer. (But knowing me, I’ll probably make Rafa lose on the first round or something.)

Anywaaaaay. Overall, the Kirinetta/QT BFFs match was really entertaining because all four girls are fast. There were amazing points with long rallies and loltastic Frescobol net plays. I sat behind Caro and Sorana’s chairs which was not such a good idea. Caro kept staring at me so I started to feel bad about shoving my camera on her face. Bad bad journalist, I know. But… it’s just doubles. I don’t want to be not even the tiniest bother when she’s playing with her best friend.

My heart was broken into pieces in the match when Caro had an injury timeout. If I was religious, I’d be praying for DC’s back to be ok. I don’t want to think about having my 18-year-old moonballer taken away from me so early. Take care, bb. And pls stop playing so much? Just look at JJ.
