This might as well become a pictures blog

Sorana Banana took out Aga Radwanska today with a 7-6(4) 1-6 7-5. Not even taking in consideration Banana is unseeded, she won one game total in her last two matches against Aga combined. One. So, yes, I’d call that result an upset. Aga was serving for the match at 5-4, while Sorana was crying with her head down as Adidas coach Sven calmed her down. I was already in a midst of screaming “YES!!!! AGA!!!!” and “Poor Sori :(” when shebroke Aga’s serve. Caro was watching the tight match from the sidelines, looking as cute as ever — nervously biting her fingernails. Oy. Now this makes eight quarterfinals so far this year for Aga. Eight quarterfinals and no semis. I’d say someone has a problem.

Her opponents reactions regarding her recent wins, you ask?

105

Not so good, no.

What about Sorana?

103

Happy times.

Oh Sorana, you think you can come here and sway me with your smile only?

.

Fine, gurl. Good luck in the semis. I’ll be cheering for you. Idk why the players think they can make me forget the WOES they bring me so fast.

106

No, Vika, I will not forget all the FAIL that was losing second round to an off-form Sharapova.

107

FINE, FINE. Kick ass in Cincy then, will you?

Match of the day

38

This is why five-setters win at life. Mandy‘s match against Stan was beyond entertaining. I’m sure you can read some very long report praising Mandy anywhere else like the Wimbledon website and such — I’ll just say it was a victory for the fans. Look at that picture, Henman Hill (or Murray Mound, whatever) is full. People that don’t have tickets for CC are seating there at open air at 10 pm to watch tennis. I, personally, want Mandy to take the whole thing. Hell, Rafa isn’t playing and I don’t have any high hopes for Juanqui. I like seeing crowds happy (most of the time). A British champion would make a beautiful day at Wimbledon and in all London.

Now, onto Muzzah’s chances of taking the crown. I think a tough match like this is important for building up his mental side during the tournament. Specially an unique one like this one with the roof closed and all. Seriously, IMPORTANT ROOF IS IMPORTANT. I had to mention that. Just ask @Wimbledon. I was surprised they didn’t manage to put “roof” in Twitter’s Trending Topics. I think Murray can take out Federer, but oh boy, I don’t want to jinx him. That’s the British press’ job!

And about the shallow part of the match: Kim‘s white blazer is very cute, innit?

Actually, white blazer, black t-shirt and short denim shorts? I give the whole outfit an A+.

P.S.  I tried to make Judy out of focus in the picture…….. it didn’t work.

Watching tennis is cool. Srsly. Even celebrities do it.

26

Popstar Justin Timberlake watching Roddick on Saturday. I think it’s hilarious that he’s pumping his fist. Do you guys pump your first when watching tennis? Idk about you but that sounds like a completely dorky thing to do. I would like to think I’m ~*cooler*~ than that. Yes, I think I’m cooler than JT. Do you have a problem with it? No? Good, ok, thanks.

And adorable!Laura Robson moment of the day, Laura squees and fangirls about how she met Justin and Enrique Iglesias. I don’t know if this is just me, but if was a 15-year-old British girl, I would squee if I met Cheryl Cole. Actually, I’d squee if I met Cheryl Cole nowadays too. And I’m not even British.

Now, my favourite Wimby celebrity sighting so far (and will probably continue being my favourite unless the Skins cast decides to go watch some tennis) is Sara Foster. Seriously, Tommy, thanks for dating/being engaged to her. I think it’s highly entertaining to see her pouting, screaming, playing with her bubblegum, taking a nap, pointing to her blackberry and such during matches.

Fierce Tennis, you say?

Question: What is this awesome piece of the interwebs?

Answer: I have tried and failed several times to keep blogs up. Why? Because I don’t like doing serious journalism unless there’s money showing up in my bank account — and there wasn’t. This blog will have no interest in being impartial or, you know, actually talking about the sport (ok, maybe from time to time). There are tons of other blogs (and news websites) that do this job pretty well already. Here we will discuss the shallow part: the outfits, the gossip, the outrages and who Fernando Verdasco is currently dating.
